Sell datasets of any kind to AI companies: 5 buyers, what they pay, on what terms
The list holds five data buyers for datasets of any kind. All five are marketplaces, platforms or matchmakers, and they publish their fees. None publishes a buyer price. AWS Data Exchange takes a "3% fee". aitrainer.work quotes "seller keeps 80%; free to list; earns buyer-side fee per deal" across its DataVendor marketplace and its matchmaking. Datarade charges a "provider subscription" and Monda a "subscription". Opendatabay points to a "fees page".
aitrainer.work, an editor's pick through its DataVendor marketplace, opens the list: it licenses non-exclusively, pays a revenue share, and is invite limited. AWS Data Exchange licenses non-exclusively to enterprises and needs an AWS seller account. Opendatabay licenses non-exclusively, sets no minimum, and also takes code and agent trajectories. It also routes sellers to Pangea.ai, Turing and micro1 and discloses its affiliate model.
Three of the five license non-exclusively. Datarade and Monda list data, take no license themselves, and charge the seller to list. In the contract, read the marketplace's standard license: whether it allows training, inference or derivative models, and whether the buyer may resell or redistribute. Check the warranties you give on provenance and consent. Count subscription costs against expected sales before you list.
